THe Upgrade Department
Skin
Services.
Because a sharp hairline and tired skin is a missed opportunity. Clinical treatments, medically administered, in the same studio where the rest of the work gets done.
All skin services at The Upgrade Department are administered by licensed registered nurses. Our RN partners are independently credentialed, carry their own malpractice coverage, and were selected specifically for their precision and their alignment with how we work. You're not getting a technician. You're getting a clinician.
Skin
The full picture. All in one place.
Most men who come to The Upgrade Department for scalp, beard, or brow work are also thinking about their skin. They just haven't found the right place to address it — one that doesn't feel clinical, doesn't feel overly spa-like, and doesn't assume they want to walk out looking like a different person.

The skin services here are deliberately chosen: tox for movement and line prevention, filler for structural refinement and proportion, microneedling with PRP or PDRN for skin quality and texture, and peels for tone and clarity. Each one addresses something specific. None of them are about transformation. They're about the same thing everything else here is about — getting it right.
01
Tox.
Botox, Jeuveau, and Xeomin — injectable neurotoxins that temporarily relax the muscles responsible for expression lines. Forehead, glabella (the elevens), and crow's feet are the most common treatment areas for male clients. The goal at The Upgrade Department is never frozen. It's rested, refreshed, and — when done precisely — completely undetectable.

Tox is one of the most requested additions to a scalp or beard session. The reasoning is straightforward: if you're investing in permanent work on your head, addressing what's happening on the rest of your face in the same visit is efficient. Our RN partners work with dosing that suits male facial anatomy specifically — which requires a different hand than the standard approach.

Botox, Jeuveau, and Xeomin are all available. Your RN will recommend the appropriate product based on your anatomy and treatment goals. Pricing discussed at consultation.
Forehead & glabella
The most common entry point. Horizontal forehead lines and the vertical elevens between the brows — no more "fix your face".

Crow's feet
Lateral eye lines that deepen with expression. A precise, conservative dose makes a significant difference without affecting natural movement.

Other areas
Brow lifting, jaw slimming (masseter), neck bands, lip flip, lip lines and trap muscles available. Discussed and assessed at consultation.

02
Filler.
Hyaluronic acid filler for structural refinement and facial proportion. The Upgrade Department takes a conservative approach — the objective is always balance, never volume for its own sake. The men who respond best to filler are the ones who notice something is slightly off but can't name exactly what it is. A precise hand in the right place can fix that without anyone being able to identify why you look better.

Two focus areas: lips and facial balancing. Both are approached with restraint. Both are reversible. Both are assessed carefully at consultation before anything is agreed upon.

All filler at The Upgrade Department is hyaluronic acid — fully reversible with hyaluronidase if needed. Your RN will not proceed with treatment they don't believe will improve your result. Pricing discussed at consultation.
Lip filler
Subtle volume and definition for lips that have thinned or lost symmetry. The goal is a lip that looks like yours — just better hydrated and more defined. More youthful, not augmented.

Facial balancing
Conservative structural work across cheekbones, nasolabial folds, and chin. Proportion and symmetry — addressed with precision, never excess. A face that looks like itself, resolved.

Combination plans
Tox and filler together in a single visit — the most efficient way to address movement and structure simultaneously. Work with injector to develop the right plan for you.

03
Microneedling with PRP or PDRN.
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin that trigger the body's natural collagen and elastin production. On its own it's effective. Paired with PRP — platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood — or PDRN, a newer regenerative compound derived from salmon DNA, it's significantly more so.

PRP accelerates healing and amplifies the collagen response. PDRN works at a cellular level to repair and regenerate — particularly effective for clients with sun damage, scarring, or significant texture concerns. Your RN will assess which is appropriate for your skin and your goals. The two are not interchangeable, and the right choice matters.

Microneedling with PRP or PDRN is one of the more substantive things we offer — results accumulate across a series of sessions and continue improving for weeks after each treatment. It is not a lunchtime procedure. Plan for downtime.

A series of 3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is the standard recommendation for meaningful results. Maintenance sessions typically annual. Pricing discussed at consultation.
04
Chemical peels.
Chemical peels accelerate cell turnover, address pigmentation, improve texture, and refine pores — depending on depth and formulation. The Upgrade Department offers peels appropriate for all skin tones and concerns, selected and applied by our RN partners rather than an esthetician. The difference is clinical precision and the ability to go deeper, more safely, when the result warrants it.

Light peels work well as maintenance between microneedling sessions or as a standalone treatment for clients who want improved tone and clarity without significant downtime. Medium-depth peels are available for clients with more pronounced concerns — discussed and assessed at consultation.

Peel depth and formulation selected at consultation based on skin type, tone, and treatment goals. Pricing discussed at consultation.
What people ask before they book.
ot with a precise hand and appropriate dosing. The frozen look comes from too much product applied without regard for individual anatomy. Our RN partners work with male facial musculature specifically — which is stronger and requires a different approach than standard dosing. The goal is rested and refreshed, not treated.
The consultation is where that gets figured out. We're not in the business of convincing anyone to do something they're not certain about. If filler will meaningfully improve your result, your RN will explain why and show you what's possible. If it won't, they'll tell you that too. The conservative approach here is genuine, not a marketing line.
PRP uses growth factors from your own blood to accelerate healing and boost collagen production — well-established, widely studied, effective. PDRN is a newer regenerative compound that works at a cellular repair level and is particularly effective for sun damage, scarring, and more significant texture concerns. Your RN will assess which is appropriate for your skin.
In some cases yes, in others no — it depends on the treatments and the sequencing. Tox or filler and a scalp session on the same day might be compatible so long as the scalp happens first — you can't lay down after tox for a while. Microneedling and fresh SMP work are not — the skin needs time to heal between. Your consultation will map out the right order and timing.
The skin conversation begins at the consultation.
Book a consultation and we'll assess everything together — scalp, face, skin. You leave with a plan that addresses the full picture, in the right order, at the right pace.
